Review: Morphe Brushes 35O

Hey guys! For my first post I wanted to do a quick review of the most coveted palette from Morphe Brushes- the 35O. This palette consists of 35 warm tone colours, a combination of mattes, satins and shimmers and retails for $22.99 USD on their website.

So before I begin, I will answer the question: Is this palette worth the hype? My answer is yes. It is a must have for every makeup artist, or any individual who finds themselves gravitating towards warm toned shadows. The pigmentation is fairly consistent, especially amongst the matte shades (those are my personal favourites in this palette). The shimmer colours work well, however they work much better if you spray your brush with MAC fix+ or any setting spray before you apply them. They also work better if your eyelids are primed (TIP: use concealer and pack it in with a beauty blender or a concealer brush instead of eyeshadow primer, it does the exact same thing and it evens out your lid colour too!)

Definitely the highlight of this palette for me is the price, you get 35 (high quality) shadows for less than 25 dollars. If you compare this to an Urban Decay Naked Palette, you get 12 (in my opinion, mediocre quality) shadows for almost 70 dollars in Canada. The picture below shows swatches of my favourite colours, and I attached a picture of the palette for anyone interested.

Overall, out of a possible 5, I would give this palette 4.5 stars. The quality is great but it’s not my holy grail palette. That would be the ABH Master Palette by Mario (if you’d like I can write a review on that one. Definite 5/5 stars there).

Thanks for reading guys!! (:
